Overview
Boost your deal monitoring with instant alerts in your Slack workspace! The innovative Demostack-Slack integration keeps you and your team updated in real-time as visitors interact with your product tours and sandboxes, shared with potential clients after live demo sessions. This enables you to swiftly initiate follow-up discussions and gather crucial feedback.
Slack notifications will display in a designated channel with the following information:
-
Visitor’s name
-
Visitor's email
-
Number of screens visited
-
Opportunity name (when applicable)
-
Visit session duration
-
Number of Tour steps completed (relevant only for tour visitors)
-
Link to the demo/tour page in the Demostack platform
-
A slack mention to notify the creator of the link
Note: In order to make sure the session was actually done, we wait 30 minutes before ending it and sending a notification.
Setup instructions
Note: Only Admin users can setup this integration.
-
In Demostack, navigate to Organization settings page (cog icon in the upper right-hand corner), then select the Integrations tab.
-
To activate the integration, your Slack admin must approve it. Click on Connect to send an approval request.
-
Start by creating a unique authentication name, which will be exclusively used for managing the integration within Demostack.
-
After finalizing the authentication name, a new tab will appear, facilitating the approval request submission to your Slack admin.
-
Upon receiving your Slack admin's approval, you will be notified through your Slack bot. Subsequently, return to Demostack to continue.
-
Back in Demostack, establish a new authentication.
-
Grant the necessary permissions as prompted.
Well done! The integration is now active, and a "Demostack-alerts" Slack channel will be auto-generated once the initial product tour or sandbox is accessed.
If you wish to pause the integration post-setup, toggle the pause/resume switch.
If you wish to deactivate the integration post-setup, click on the “delete” button. Reactivating it later is just as simple.
Link-level notification control
This feature offers selective alert management, allowing you to specify which shared links activate notifications in Slack. This capability ensures you receive notifications solely for the chosen links, providing a direct approach to minimizing distractions and enhancing concentration on critical engagements.
